We write ad hoc short term stay reports for a small group of students across multiple year groups who are leaving at the end of each term. Currently to set a report cycle for this, to avoid confusion for staff, I have to choose which students to exclude (who don't require a short term report). However when the report cycle goes live, it is likely that some more students will need to be taken out of (or sometimes added to) the exclusion list- this of course can not be done when the cycle is live. We tend to use a custom group in pupil manager to keep track of our latest short term leavers. It would be really useful if the subject, tutor, Head of year etc templates could be allocated to students who appear in a custom group only (or alternatively allocated to a group of students in one of the registers in student registers). That way students can be added / taken out of the report allocation without having to temporarily disable the report cycle.
